"Manufacturing Engineering" Department was established in January 2012 within Mersin University, Institute of Science and Technology. After the establishment of Tarsus University on May 18, 2018, the Department continues to operate under the Graduate Education Institute of Tarsus University.
The Department of Manufacturing Engineering aims to develop innovative products, production processes and methods by integrating scientific studies and technologies in production. Manufacturing Engineering USA, which is an interdisciplinary program, aims to research, design, analyze and develop innovative products, advanced manufacturing technology and production systems, machinery and equipment by using knowledge in the fields of Mechanical, Industry, Materials Science and Engineering. Research areas of the program; It focuses on advanced production technologies and processes. Research areas; modeling and analysis of manufacturing processes and machines, computer-aided design and production, integrated production systems, additive manufacturing (3D printers), bioproduction, nano-micro production, composite and polymer production processes, production and technology strategies. The Department of Manufacturing Engineering continues the necessary activities to train highly qualified researchers.
There are Master's and Doctorate programs with thesis in our department. Our PhD students can benefit from YÖK 100/2000 PhD scholarship opportunities in areas such as "Advanced and Smart Manufacturing and Smart and Innovative Materials".
