Tarsus University Health Management Thesis Master's Program was opened in 2021. Health Management Master's Program with Thesis is a program consisting of 4 semesters, each worth 30 ECTS.
The main purpose of the Health Management Thesis Master's program is to train leaders who have the knowledge to work in the management units of the health system and national and international institutions and organizations related to health, who are innovative, entrepreneurial, respectful of ethical values, who can shape the future of health management and who can make original contributions to the relevant literature.
In order to successfully complete the program, it is necessary to pass all the compulsory and elective courses that must be taken in the first year of the program and to successfully complete the thesis. The thesis master's program consists of at least seven courses, a seminar course, a field of specialization course and thesis work, with a total of not less than twenty-one credits. Seminar course and thesis work are non-credit and are evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. The thesis master's program consists of at least eight courses, including the seminar course, and a total of at least 120 ECTS credits, including the thesis study, provided that one academic year is not less than 60 ECTS credits. In order for the student to be considered successful in a course, his/her grade must be at least 70 points out of 100.
Students who graduate from the program can find jobs in the public and private sectors or be promoted to higher positions in their current jobs. They can work in management-related units in national and international institutions and organizations within the health system and serve as experts and inspectors. In addition, the master's program with thesis offers students the opportunity to work as research assistants before graduation and as teaching assistants after graduation.
In addition to the theoretical and practical information given to students in the program, students are encouraged to follow and participate in scientific events. There is also a library available to students. Additionally, students can attend contracted universities within the framework of Erasmus and Farabi programs. There are currently 3 Professors, 5 Associate Professors, 2 Drs in the program. He works as a faculty member.
