Child Health and Diseases Nursing
Tarsus University Child Health and Diseases Nursing Master's Program with Thesis was opened in the spring semester of 2022. Child Health and Disease Nursing Master's Program with Thesis is a program consisting of 4 semesters, each worth 30 ECTS. The main purpose of the Child Health and Disease Nursing Master's Program with Thesis is to evaluate the health/disease status of the child and his family within the framework of family-centered care. The graduating student is expected to have theoretical knowledge and practical skills structured taking into account the National Core Program at the level of expertise in the field of "Child Health and Disease Nursing" from the neonatal period to the end of the adolescence period. In order to successfully complete the program, it is necessary to pass all the compulsory and elective courses that must be taken in the first year of the program and to successfully complete the thesis. The thesis master's program consists of at least seven courses, a seminar course, a field of specialization course and thesis work, with a total of not less than twenty-one credits. Seminar course and thesis work are non-credit and are evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. The thesis master's program consists of at least eight courses, including the seminar course, and a total of at least 120 ECTS credits, including the thesis study, provided that one academic year is not less than 60 ECTS credits. In order for the student to be considered successful in a course, his/her grade must be at least 70 points out of 100. In addition to the theoretical and practical information given to students in the program, students are encouraged to follow and participate in scientific events. Additionally, students can attend contracted universities within the framework of Erasmus and Farabi programs. The language of instruction of the Thesis Master's program offered under the Department of Child Health and Diseases Nursing is Turkish, and teaching activities are carried out by the Department of Nursing within the Graduate Education Institute.
