Department of Economics Thesis Master's Program is a program affiliated with Tarsus University Graduate Education Institute. Master's Degree in Economics with Thesis is a program consisting of 4 semesters, each worth 30 ECTS, and students were admitted for the first time in the 2020-2021 fall semester.
The aim of the Economics Master's Program is to train individuals who can conduct economic analysis and research using economic theory and applied statistical methods. The program aims to provide students with academic knowledge and skills. In line with this goal, the program includes courses in scientific fields such as Microeconomic Theory, Macroeconomic Theory, Mathematical Methods in Economics, Statistical Methods in Economics, Econometrics, International Economics. There are 3 Associate Professors and 3 Drs in the program. He works as a faculty member. The basic economic problems that constitute the country's and world's agenda and the developments in the economic literature are closely followed by the program faculty members, and the current curriculum is covered in the courses. Students can receive education from contracted universities within the framework of exchange programs such as Erasmus, Farabi and Mevlana. Graduates can be employed in institutions and organizations in all sectors of economic activity, as well as working as experts in banks and financial institutions, and in companies engaged in foreign and domestic trade. Although job opportunities for graduates are quite wide, there are also opportunities to pursue an academic career in the field of economics.
